Traditionally, pomegranates have been tied to good fortune and luck. If you want something delicious, try these recipes. You will want the following ingredients:
- 1 part tequila
- 1/2 part apple brandy
- 1/3 part lemon juice
- 1/3 part lime juice
- 2/3 part pomegranate-piloncillo syrup

- 1 1/2 parts tequila

- Soda water, to top

Add ¼ part of mulled mole wine syrup to a chilled Collins glass. Add the tequila, egg white, lemon juice, and the rest of the mulled wine syrup to a cocktail shaker. Shake the ingredients (without ice) to combine the ingredients. After a dry shake, you will want to add ice to chill. Strain the liquid into the Collins glass and top it with the soda water. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
How to make the mulled mole wine syrup:
- 1 full-bodied red wine
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 3 star anise pods
- 8 cloves
- 8 allspice berries
- 16 black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 8 almonds
- 10 black raisins
- 2 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 orange peel
- 1 lemon peel
You will want to use a medium-sized saucepan over medium-low heat with the cinnamon, cloves, allspice, star anise, almonds, and sesame seeds to toast until fragrant. After that, add lemon zest, orange juice, nutmeg, orange zest, wine, raisins, and sugar. Bring to a boil for 15 minutes until thick. Remove from the stove and let it cool down. - 1 1/4 parts tequila
- 4 parts hot ponche mix
